.....like a hole in the head.....

I like projects with small pieces, but I need another project (insert blog post title here)

anyhoo

I was innocently raiding my stash, looking for red/green/neutral fabrics to feed the ever-hungry hexagon quilt

took a break and started surfing blogs (as you do)

there is a project on the sidebar of Jo's blog (the pattern is available here) and I may or may not have cut several blocks worth of fabric and pieced a test block......

stay tuned for a possible cute block picture and progress on the hexagons

a new project

well

you know how it is, a "friend" passes on a few pieces of fabric, after all, I'm a scrap quilter

in the bag are half-a-dozen paper pieces, basted to fabric already

thought I'd just make a flower hexagon

just for fun, you know

next thing, I'm logging on to a graph paper generator and printing my own paper templates

fast forward.....a rummage through my (meager) scrap collection and I have this....
followed by these
and eventually, this

problem is, I have run out of red/neutral/green, and I can't find the right charm squares on-line

at least I have a WIP, so I'll get a new project box, label it, and keep my eye out for little bits to "feed" my quilt

oh, credit where it's due, the original quilt design can be found here  Bonnie Hunter is a genius!!

A new blog and a new start
